WASP overview
The Vodacom WASP Portal provides SMME’s with information on the Vodacom WASP Model, mobile services and how to become a WASP. The WASP Model enables the WASP to deliver mobile content to, and receive data from, a wide user base via the robust Vodacom cellular network .
Should you wish to make use of mobile marketing, but do not wish to become a WASP, you can view a list of approved Vodacom WASPs (Aggregators) who can provide mobile services based on the Vodacom WASP Model on your behalf.
WASP Services include Bulk SMS , Premium Rated SMS Short Codes, Multimedia Messaging , USSD , Interactive Voice Response(IVR) , Subscription Services, LBS and WIG Services.
Mobile content can be anything from ringtones, wallpaper, games and chat services, to mobile applications and subscriber billing or recharge solutions.
