The SME Thrive Summit, brought to you by Vodacom Business seeks to solve for your barriers to growth and empower you to continue with the great work you do. The event will address the key issues around SME growth and provide you with expert advice and small business learnings to solve for them. By joining this event in person or online, you will gain access to skills and connections to grow your business.

To kick off the day, we’ll hear from our very own William Mzimba, Chief Officer of Vodacom Business and passionate entrepreneurial advocate. William’s personal love of entrepreneurship has resulted in his deep understanding of and appreciation for SMEs and we look forward to hearing from him. Next, we’ll hear about the real-life successes and learnings of four small businesses on their journeys to getting funding.

Networking and business strategy is key to growth, which Innocentia Motau, founder and CEO of ITU Golf Wear, used to take her small business across the country. It can be tough competing with large corporates and their seemingly endless access to marketing and campaign budgets. Remember you have the advantage of agility and speed. Learn how optimizing your presence online can grow your market share sustainably.

Technology is here to stay and the world of digital is not to be ignored. We’ve seen the benefits of embracing data-driven decisions and using technology for good. We’ll hear more from Meta on how to make this a reality in your small business.

Part of the beauty of the small business sector is the community within it. We’ve invited local SMEs to exhibit at our event alongside our industry partners. After our insightful and empowering morning and a delicious lunch, we invite you to network with SMEs and larger corporates alike.

To round it off nicely, we’re giving two small businesses the opportunity to win R50 000 and an executive workshop with Sitho Mdlalose, CEO of Vodacom South Africa, and three of his of his committee members.
