Is my business ready for the Kwika card machine?
The Kwika is perfectly suited for businesses that need a reliable but portable payment solution. If you’re a traveling salesperson, food truck owner or plumber - even a travelling personal trainer - the VodaPay Kwika can help you to take payments from your customers and clients at any time.
What is pre-approved for up to R1.5 million after 4 months of trading?
When you use your Kwika to transact, you could potentially qualify for business funding. There is strict criteria to meet. You need to make at least R40,000 a a month or R500 000 a year to qualify.
What is FICA and what do I need?
FICA, or the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, is a set of laws in South Africa aimed at preventing financial crimes like money laundering and terrorism financing. It requires financial institutions to verify your identity and monitor transactions for suspicious activity.
To FICA your Kwika card machine, you need to provide:
- South African ID or Foreign national documentation
- Proof of Banking
- Business Registration if you have a registered business.
- Confirmation Letter to confirm that you are a business representative.
This is a compulsory process that protects you, us and your customers from malicious transactions.
