HOW TO LOG IN
Merchant Portal

Head to the VodaPay SMME Portal and log in using your Merchant ID and Password

Go to Merchant Portal

GENERATING A PAYMENT REQUEST
Here's how it works

Select the type of payment under the payment request category:

Fixed Payment
Sends a payment request for an exact, fixed amount

Variable Payment
Sends a payment request allowing the customer to pay any amount.

Generating a payment request
SENDING THE DETAILS
Enter in the relevant info

Once a payment request category has been selected, capture the information required:

Transaction reference
Please enter an invoice or account number to match against your payment records.

Notification method
Send Payment Request via SMS or Email.

Notification address
Enter a cell number (e.g. 0820000000) or a valid email address ([email protected]

Once ready, hit Generate and the request will be sent

Sending the details
SUCCESS
Request has been sent

The request will now be sent via Via SMS or Email. Your customer will now receive a payment request to process payment for you.

What are the charges?

Our service fees are based on how much you make. You can pay a minimum of 2% or a maximum of 3% depending on how much you make each month.

Our QR code, also known as the VodaPay Chop-Chop, makes it easy for you to offer seamless payments. You'll also be able to continue accept payments during loadshedding. Plus, you get it for free when you rent a VodaPay Max or buy a Kwika Card Machine!

How can I check my transactions?

We've created a portal to assist you manage your card machines once you start receiving payments from your customers. You will be able to track daily sales, download documents and, in the future, send receipts via email. You can download your merchant statements and export your transaction history. The Merchant Portal allows you to view all your transactions and sales, across all your VodaPay payment solutions (VodaPay Max, VodaPay Chop-Chop, Payment Request and e-Commerce).

How long will it take for me to get activated?

It will take you approximately 30 minutes to apply online. Calls are free of charge. There is also a toll free number you can dial 011 066 0847.

HOW TO LOG IN
The VodaPay SMME Portal

Head to the VodaPay SMME Portal and log in using your Merchant ID and Password

Go to Merchant Portal
How to log in
VIEWING ALL YOUR TRANSACTIONS
Go to Terminal Transactions
  • You can filter your processed transactions
by date, transaction type and response codes.

  • If you wish to save your transaction history, you can click on the "Export" button. This will export your transaction history as a CSV.

  • For each date, we show you the transactions processed.

  • If you would like some more information on a transaction, you can click on the line item. This will open a right hand slide out menu which will give you more details on a transaction

Provide your banking details so that we can pay you.
How and when do I get paid?

At the end of each business day, VodaPay will perform a settlement process which considers all successful payments processed on your behalf as well as any refunds that you have performed.

On the next business day, VodaPay will calculate the amount due to you by offsetting any debits such as refunds or transaction fees, against payments received. The remaining balance is then paid into your designated clearing bank account.

A detailed view of this can be found on the Account Transactions screen of the merchant portal. Invoices for fees charged by VodaPay are available on the Documents screen on the merchant portal.
